Author: Manuela Morgaine

Manuela Morgaine is an artist, writer, filmmaker, and theater director. A recipient of the Prix de Rome in scenography, she leads Envers Compagnie, dedicated since 1991 to the creation of multidisciplinary works. She is the author of several literary works and radio creation workshops broadcast on France Culture. She has lent her voice to numerous television and radio productions, and has directed a dozen films, including LIGHTNING a legend in four seasons and recently FOR WAAD an archival film on pre-war Syria, both of which enjoyed international acclaim. She has presented a series of performances at Galerie Maubert, the Musée Picasso, the Brownstone Foundation, the Fiminco Foundation, and at 7.5 (Isabelle Suret) in Paris. She is currently working on ORAKL a gate of ice and words, and on a feature film FAREWELL a one-word film adapted from a philosophical study by Balzac. She is a member of The Crown Letter, an artists' collective founded by Natacha Nisic during the pandemic.
